Stingrays- Checklist for this week
Happy Tuesday! Tis’ the season of STINGRAYS!!!
I have 5 things for your check list this week:
1) Practice starts this week! Information on PRACTICE can be found on Swimtopia.
2) Sign your Stingray up soon if you would like to attend the Fun Meet this weekend (our pool).
- Parent information about MEETS can be found on our Swimtopia site including a video showing how to sign your swimmer up for a meet. *Don’t forget to select if your swimmer is available for relays.
- If your swimmer stays in the Zoo during the meet, please make sure your family is aware of our Zoo Procedures and Code of Conduct.
3) Sign up to volunteer when you sign your swimmer up for the FUN MEET.
(Click the green “Job Signup” button on the home page.)
- WE NEED YOU! The Fun Meet is a challenge since it is just our team. We are doing the work normally covered by two teams of volunteers. You are welcome to sign up for more than one shift and you are also welcome to have more than one family member volunteer.
- *If your spouse (or other adult family member) is not on Swimtopia, I am happy to help add them so that they can volunteer.
- If you are new, check out the Volunteer Job Descriptions page on Swimtopia to see what looks best for you. On the day of the meet, Volunteer check in is at the stone table by the side gate pick up your name tag before your shift.
- Thank you to all the AMAZING people who have signed up to volunteer already. We appreciate YOU!
4) Swimmers should be marked up when they are checked in at the Zoos on Meet Day. There will be a “how to mark up your swimmer” open house from 6:15 pm to 8 pm at the pool THIS FRIDAY. Drop by if you’d like to learn in person. You can check out the marking up your swimmer VIDEO if you’d prefer to learn online.
- If heat sheets are posted early enough on Friday evening (Swimtopia home page), print it out and bring it with you. We can get the information you will write on your swimmer for Saturday’s meet.
5) If you haven’t signed your Stingray up for a photo session, there are still spots available.
If you are new to The Stingrays, we are excited to have you! This may all seem like a lot. We’ve all been there and before you know it, you will be gliding along with the rest of us.
Please reach out if you have any questions. You can check the Swimtopia page, ask on our Facebook site, talk to a veteran parent, email a board member or ask me.
See you at the pool!
GO STINGRAYS!!!
