Introducing the Stingray Blue Hype!
Dear Stingray Families,
We’re excited to introduce a new program for the Shady Hollow Stingrays: The Stingray Blue Hype – Making Waves for the Stingrays!
The Stingray Blue Hype is a youth volunteer group for high school students (current freshmen–seniors) who want to help bring energy, encouragement, and team spirit to the swim team. It’s a great way for older swimmers, former swimmers, and youth volunteers to stay involved while earning credit hours and building leadership skills.
Head Coordinators: Amy Williams and Keri Jackson
What the Blue Hype Will Do
- Welcome families and assist younger swimmers at practices and meets
- Help hype the team at meets
- Help with Fun Fridays (glitter, tattoos, team colors)
- Celebrate personal bests (PB Cow Bell!) and swimmer achievements when getting ribbons on Tuesdays.
- Help with decorations, photos, and fun spirit traditions like “You’ve Been Stung!”
How to Participate: Complete the Blue Hype Registration and Consent Form.
The Blue Hype is a fun way for high school students to support younger swimmers and help build Stingray team spirit.
Our first meeting will be on Monday, April 27, from 6:30 - 7:30 pm for a brief orientation and activity. For questions, please reach out to Amy Williams or Keri Jackson.
Go Mighty Stingrays!
