Good afternoon Stingray families,

Each year several families ask where to go for year-round swim or for a tune-up for summer league.  Since registration is open and there's time for our swimmers to join a program and enhance their technique, I wanted to highlight the nearby year-round programs that some of our swimmers attend for you to consider.  These are completely optional.

YMCA at Camp Moody - Several Stingrays are on this team located in nearby Buda for their year-round competitive team or to just stay in shape.  Attached you'll find a flyer with more information.

Austin Swim Club - Like the YMCA team, several Stingrays have been with ASC for a long time.  They are located off of Southwest Parkway close to Travis Country.

Nitro - They have multiple locations in Austin, but they just opened a new facility in Hays County.  There are a few Stingrays who've been on Nitro, but not as many since they've not been so close before.  Attached is a flyer with more information.

To be clear, it is NOT a requirement to look into any of these programs at all to be able to have fun on the Stingrays.  Some families get the 'competitive itch' or just want a head start.  Many Stingray families are currently on these teams, so feel free to ask around to see what would be a good fit.  All teams have been around for more than ten years and all have good coaches.  If you're unsure of who to talk to, simply reply to me and I can give you some more information.   Even though my family represents one of these teams, I would love to see our swimmers scratch that competitive itch with any of these clubs.
