• The kids only have to get across the pool unassisted and without touching the bottom, in under 1 minute. 
• No particular stroke is required. 
• Tryouts will be open to neighborhood and non-neighborhood residents. Non-residents please be aware that we do give preference to neighborhood residents when we start signups in the Spring and because we are limited on the number of total swimmers (and non-resident swimmers) a successful tryout won't necessarily guarantee you a spot on the team. I don't foresee that being a problem, but again, it is a possibility to keep in mind. 
• If your child is a returning Stingray they do not have to tryout again. This is only for NEW Stingray swimmers.
