Just the Facts - Volunteers
We could not have a meet without all of our volunteers and we wouldn’t have our volunteers without the tireless work of Angela Hughes!! Thank you to all volunteers this weekend and those of you that volunteered for more than one shift this weekend, you are ROCKSTARS! Champs volunteer spots aren’t posted yet, stay tuned.
On a bit of a serious note, it has been brought to the attention of the board that we have parents discussing concerns/issues directly with volunteer positions. If you have an issue with anything that happens at practice or a meet, please reach out to a board member for assistance. It is not appropriate to discuss matters with a volunteer if something needs to be addressed (zookeeper, stroke and turn, ready bency, timer, computer, etc). I also encourage you to remember that all the non-coach people “working” at practice or a meet are all doing it on a volunteer basis, none of us are paid for this role. We do it for the love of the children so please be kind to our volunteers and bring all issues to a board member for assistance. Our contact information is here: https://shadyhollow.swimtopia.com/volunteers
Meet and Volunteer Signup
Please sign up for the Stingray vs Hays AND CHAMPS meet before the registration closes at noon on Thursday 6/15/23. If you can't make the meet please select the option "Not attending this meet". If you are still having trouble signing your swimmer up for a meet, please email a board member for help. In addition to signing up your swimmer, please select a volunteer position for each meet. We need everyone's help to make our meets a success!
Next Meet
Our next meet is home against Hays on June 17th. The theme will be announced at practice this week!
We Are the Mighty Stingrays!
