Our first official swim meet of this season is upon us. TSD will be visiting. Go Stingrays!!!
Swimmer Warm ups: Stingrays warm up session 1 will be from 7:15a – 7:30a. TSD will warm up afterwards. Please make sure that you have your kids to their assigned zoo’s no later than 6:55 am to ensure that we have all relay swimmers and that they can get marked for their races.
For the younger swimmers, please make sure there is a Zookeeper within the Zoo during the meet to keep an eye on your little swimmers and please do not let them wander off unattended (the hardest part of zookeeping). Please no sodas or sticky drinks in the zoo area. It attracts bees and other insects.
Meet Start Time: Events 1 and 2 to ready bench by 7:50am. National Anthem is at 7:55. Meet will start promptly at 8:00am. *Please note that we are not excepting deck entries or last minute changes to heat sheets. Changes will be made if computer error. The pool opens at 6:15am, so if you know of changes that need to be made please get them in early. Meet goes from 8:00am to 9:45am with a 35 minute break between sessions. Session 2 will start at 10:20a -12:22p We will be using the MEET MOBILE app for updates on heats.
Set up and Spectators: Parents and visitors will be located outside of the pool in the parking lot. Please follow protocal for deck entry. We have trees on the outside of the pool for shade feel free to bring tents and chairs for yourself. You shouldn't need ready shades unless you want to sit close to the playground or in the grass outside the fence – at these locations it will be hard to hear. The ground is mowed but primitive outside the fence (dirt, rock, leaves, grass). Bring mosquito repellent!! Have swimmers wear sandals/shoes that can be dropped at back gate and picked up after each swim. (Mark your gear)
Parking: Please park along the surrounding streets and be courteous to our neighbors. Do not block the corners of streets or block driveways.
Pre-Meet Schedule: All volunteer meetings for “On-Deck” roles will all occur at 7:30am. (all inside yellow rope–signs will be posted)
Timers:: meet under the EzUp tent in timers area
Stroke and Turn Judges: meet near end of pool by the steps.
Ready Bench: at Ready Bench
Runners: At Computer desk
Ribbons: Meet at ribbons outside the pool area
Concession Stand: There will be a concession stand serving breakfast tacos, donuts, Bush's chicken sandwiches, water, drinks, prepackaged items. Cash and Venmo
Theme: country/western
Merch Stand: There will be shirts from past years for sale along with swim caps and new decals. 2021 Team shirts are in!!
Many will be outside the gate. To get you a little closer to the heats we will be live streaming the swim meet through our Facebook page. Follow us.
