Stingray Update - April 2020
Dear Stingray Families,
I hope this message finds you and your family healthy, happy and strong during these unprecedented times. We are all facing new challenges to our daily routine and we pray that you are all doing well.
First, I would like to recognize our new 2020 Stingray Head Coach, Lilly Shaw! Lilly has been an integral part of the Stingray family for 12 years and the Board is excited to have her as our coach this season. We would also like to acknowledge our talented assistant coaching staff as well: Jax Caddell, Audrey Crawford, Lane Elizondo, Jacob Ferguson, Catie Graves, Ella Simpkins, Samantha Simpkins and Michael Wallace.
We know that information on the Shady Hollow Stingray swim season has been on a lot of your minds, and that your children are probably begging for swim season to start! The Stingray Board has been staying in direct contact, very consistently, with the Capital City Swim League Board along with members from other teams.
At this time, we know that our swim season, if allowed to move forward, will not look the same as it has in years past. We may have fewer teams participating, fewer practices/meets or different swim season months. These decisions will depend on the information we receive from the CCSL Board along with the governing agencies at the local, state and federal level. The health and safety of our Stingray families is our highest priority.
We will continue to postpone swim season indefinitely and will provide another update around mid-May (sooner if needed). Again, from our family to yours, we hope for health and happiness to you all. Wash your hands and GO MIGHTY STINGRAYS!
Your Stingray Board
