Message from Stingray Head Coach Lilly Shaw!
Dear Stingray Family,
My name is Lilly Shaw and I have the privilege of being your Head Coach this swim season! I joined the Stingrays when I was 6, began the Junior Coach program in 2013, and I worked my way up to Assistant Coach in 2016. I have learned so much from this team each year and I hope to pass down my knowledge and love of swimming to you! I graduated from Veritas Academy in 2018 and I’ll be a junior nursing major at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in the fall. I hope to be a Labor and Delivery or Pediatric nurse when I graduate.
There are many unknowns right now and we all have questions about this upcoming swim season, but we will just have to be patient and hope for the best. The board is working hard to find the best solution while keeping everyone’s safety in mind.
On the bright side, we are given a lot more free time to prepare for this season! We didn’t want anyone to get bored, so Coach Ella and I created a workout for the month of April (link in library/forms). You will just fill out the form with the days that you completed and bring it to the first week of practice! There may or may not be a treat for those who participate :) There are two different workouts based on the swimmer’s age. Feel free to modify as needed. I encourage everyone to partake in this; it's a great opportunity to get our bodies ready for this season!
I can’t wait to see you! Let’s go Stingrays!
